VP Upgrade For NPR’s Nikki Jones

NPR announced that Nikki Jones, currently Director of Agile Transformation and Program Management, has been promoted to the new expanded role of Vice President of Change Management and Transformation. In this capacity she will work to ensure NPR delivers on its business and cultural aspirations, develops more inclusive decision making and transparent ways of setting project plans and accountabilities, and builds stronger support systems for cross-departmental collaboration. Jones and her team will become a standalone department adjacent to HR and reporting to Chief HR Officer Carrie Storer.

“NPR is a mission-driven organization strengthened by our relationships among people, process and technology,” said Jones. “My priority is to focus on the people side of change by encouraging and empowering diverse voices, ownership, independence and accountability. These are the pillars that we’ll use to align up to NPR’s strategic plan. My goal is to do everything I can to incorporate those diverse, equitable, and inclusive pillars to shape the future of NPR.”

Jones moves up into this expanded role after having served as Director of Agile Transformation and Program Management in the Digital Media division. She will continue this important work within Digital Media while now elevating her efforts to an enterprise level to help drive the next phase of NPR’s cultural transformation. Prior to joining NPR in early 2019, Jones was the Director of Program Management with SiriusXM.
