Veteran Programmer Paul Boris Passes At 43

• Results Radio, LLC sadly informs our industry that Paul Boris suffered a medical emergency and passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday May 3. He was only 43 years old.

Boris joined the company in August 2017 as Operations Manager of the company’s four-station group in Chico, CA — Adult Hits KBQB (92.7 BOB-FM), Top 40 KCEZ (Power 102.1), Active Rock KRQR (106.7 Z-Rock), and Classic Rock KTHU (Thunder 100.7). Under Boris’s leadership, Z-Rock achieved No. 1 P25-54 Nielsen ratings many times, including a stretch over five surveys. There is a nice tribute to Boris on the Z-Rock website.

Boris’ resume also included five years with iHeartMedia Sacramento in various local and national programming roles, three years doing creative imaging for Clear Channel Springfield, MO, PD for New Northwest Broadcasters in Anchorage, AK, and PD of Marshall Radio’s KMHL/Marshall, MO.

Dave Shakes, SVP of Results Radio, said, “All of us at Results are in shock, and I know Paul’s many friends across the industry will join us in mourning his loss.” Results Radio President/CEO Jack Fritz commented, “We have lost a colleague, a friend, a member of our Results Radio family and one of the hardest working broadcasters we’ll ever have the honor to know. May he rest in peace.” Boris leaves behind his mother.
