Dave & Chuck The Freak Wake Up In Boston

WRIF/Detroit‘s long-running and highly rated Dave & Chuck the Freak Morning Show is about to experience some serious brand extension, starting this morning, as Beasley announced the show will begin a simulcast on sister WBOS (ALT 92.9)/Boston. “We have been eager to expand Dave & Chuck’s content beyond Detroit and I couldn’t be more thrilled that it all starts in Boston,” said Justin Chase, EVP of Programming for Beasley Media Group. “This is a market where their genre of show has been very successful in the past and I’m certain Boston will love D&C!”

Dave Hunter and Chuck Urquhart first teamed up in April 2001 at Bell Media Alternative CIMX (89X)/Windsor-Detroit, where they enjoyed a 14-year run. Midway through their tenure the show expanded to a trio with the addition of co-host Lisa Way, and they were hired at WRIF in May 2013. Since then, they’ve added Cohost Andy Green, Producer James Campbell and Video Editor Jason Watson.
