Lopez Named AM Co-Host, WQDR/Raleigh

• Curtis Media Group Country WQDR (94.7 QDR)/Raleigh has named Jenn Lopez as the new co-host of The Q Morning Crew, plugging in alongside veteran morning talent Mike Wheless.

Lopez is an Orlando radio pro who most recently co-hosted the Mix Morning Show on Audacy Hot AC WOMX (Mix 105.1). She began her career at JVC Media Country WOTW (103.1 The Wolf) in 2015 before crossing the street to work for CBS Radio Top 40 WQMP (101.9 AMP Radio) and an earlier part-time stint at WOMX. She later returned to WOTW as morning co-host before rejoining WOMX in early 2021, initially as morning co-host with former Brand Manager Dana Taylor, moved to middays in early 2023, and back to morning co-host in Sept. 2023.

“Jenn brings a level of experience and enthusiasm that we can’t wait to tap into,” said WQDR Program Director Mike Biddle. “She’ll fit right in with our team and, most importantly, our listening community. She and Mike have undeniable on-air chemistry, and there are no limits to what they can achieve together.” Mike Wheless concurs, commenting, “Jenn brings a great personality, a ton of radio experience and a fresh energy to the morning show. Our listeners are going to love her!”

“I’m so excited and grateful to be joining the multi-award-winning team at WQDR and the Curtis Media family,” said Lopez. “I feel truly blessed to work alongside such talented, knowledgeable people, and I can’t wait to learn, grow and create unforgettable memories with my new radio family.”

“WQDR’s success has been built on the exceptional talent it has assembled over the years,” said Jonathan Brewster, EVP of Curtis Media Group. “Adding Jenn to the Q Morning Crew lets us build on that success and keep delivering the local, compelling content our listeners count on.”

Lopez replaces Amanda Daughtry, who exited in late June after five years.
