Remembering Andrew “Tiny” Aasen
• Andrew “Tiny” Aasen, known and loved for his humor and warmth on The Marconi Show in the 2000s, alongside host Marconi and Nik Miles on KNRK/Portland and KNDD/Seattle, has passed away at the far-too-young age of 43. Tiny’s longtime friends and radio partners remember him as family.
“More than a beloved radio personality, Andy dedicated his life to helping others through a career in medicine,” Marconi said. “Andy was an incredible force who changed everyone for the better. He was my silly, goofy, baby brother and will always be with me. Our hearts are broken.”
Tiny is survived by his siblings, Michelle, Aaron and Lynn. Marconi notes, “Though his loss is heartbreaking, his laughter, kindness, and spirit will live on. Please keep his family in your thoughts and share your favorite memories to honor his incredible life.”
Marconi and Nik Miles reunited briefly in 2020 during COVID for a limited series called Back Together, and they are planning a Tiny tribute podcast episode soon.
