Rhyner Takes Hardline On Retirement

• Texas Radio Hall of Famer Mike Rhyner, longtime co-host of The Hardline, heard weekdays from 3-7pm on Cumulus Sports-Talk KTCK (Sportsradio 1310 and 96.7 FM The Ticket)/Dallas-Ft. Worth, announced his retirement from the station he co-founded and helped launch in 1994.

Rhyner said, “These 26 years at The Ticket mean more to me than I could ever say. In my heart, I will continue to be a part of it, even though I won’t be there. And I will always pull for its continued success and foster that in any way I can. Nothing but love and respect for everyone there.”

Dan Bennett, Regional Vice President for Cumulus Dallas/Houston, commented, “Mike Rhyner is an iconic visionary who spearheaded what became the most prolific brand in Sports Talk radio. I could not be more proud and thankful to Mike for what he has accomplished at The Ticket, and wish him all the best in his retirement.”

Fear not, hardcore Hardline fans… the show will go on, as current co-host Corby Davidson and Producer Danny Balis will continue in their roles. Davidson has been with the station since 1995 and on The Hardline since 2001. Balis joined as the show’s producer in 2000.
