Froggy On The Road To Recovery

• We are relieved and grateful to hear that Froggy, longtime cast member of Elvis Duran & The Morning Showis on the way to making a full recovery after recently undergoing a lengthy (and extremely dicey) surgery to have a life-threatening brain aneurysm clipped. On October 7, Froggy broke the news of his diagnosis on-air, explaining to his co-workers and listeners, “I was getting weird headaches, like really severe headaches and as quick as they come on they went away. I went in to have that looked at but that was fine, but they found this.” Froggy’s surgery was scheduled for Monday, Oct. 12, and took the better part of the day, we are told, because, you know… the brain.

The day after the surgery, Froggy’s wife Lisa called into the show to update them on Froggy’s post-op condition, and then, amazingly, an hour later, “Groggy Froggy” actually called the show to proclaim, “I made it!” He explained that he had been seriously sick from the anesthesia after surgery, but was feeling better that morning, before diving right into the gory details, as he recounted, “The incision they had to make was 15 inches. There are drains and staples in the top of my head… yesterday was very scary, but today I feel that at least I’m on the road back.” When asked how he was feeling at that moment, Froggy replied, “I have a headache… but I’m supposed to have a headache.” Because, you know… the brain.

Then, last Friday, during a subsequent update, Froggy revealed that his surgery was actually a whole lot more risky than his doctors had initially thought, as they discovered a far more complicated situation inside his skull when they opened him up. Thankfully, he’s now on the mend, and his doctors say he will soon regain his full cognitive functions. In a burst of emotion, Froggy said, “I do want to say the greatest thing that has come of this is that I really am married to the greatest woman in the whole world. Lisa has been the greatest wife and care person… I’m so lucky to have the two people (plus his son Caden) I have by my side. I would have never made it without them.” Your best wishes can be shared with Froggy at Froggy@iheartmedia.com.
