• UPDATED to include the correct buyer of WJBR — RAMP has confirmed that morning duo Deanna Marie and Justin Franiak have exited mornings at Beasley AC WJBR (Mix 99.5)/Wilmington, DE, which is in the process of being sold to Wisconsin-based religious broadcaster VCY America.

Deanna Marie is a New Jersey native and graduate of Montclair State University who started her radio career as a morning co-host on Top 40 KLCA (Alice 96.5)/Reno, NV. She was named morning co-host on WJBR alongside market vet Johnny B on October 4, 2021. Justin Franiak joined the show in March 2022, replacing Johnny B.

Franiak, who also does weekends on Country sister 92.5 WXTU/Philadelphia, previously did mornings at Country KBBL (93.7 The Bull)/Santa Rosa, CA. Franiak began his career at 94.1 WIP/Philadelphia, and his resume also includes mornings on KBBL (93.7 The Bull)/Santa Rosa, CA, afternoons on WHWK (98.1 The Hawk) & middays on WWYL (Kiss 104.1)/Binghamton, NY. He also did nights on WPIG (95.7 The Big Pig)and served as APD at WHDL (Hot 107.1)/Olean, NY.

We are told that Deanna and Justin In The Morning‘s most recent ratings book was the best in the station’s recent history, putting them at No. 2 with Persons 18-49, and growing WJBR’s cume by 62% compared to the last several years.

Deanna commented, “We have worked so hard to be where we are today and that won’t stop, even though our time with WJBR is coming to a close.”
