Duffy On The Loose!
After nearly three decades with CBS Radio Pittsburgh, Shelley Duffy has left the company. Since April of 2015 Duffy (pictured) has co-hosted the Afternoon News with Robert Mangino on News-Talk KDKA-AM, and before that she spent six years as co-host of The Bubba Show on Hot AC sister WBZZ (100.7 Star). Duffy is probably best known and loved for her eight-year run as one quarter of the “John-Dave-Bubba-Shelley” morning team on the original incarnation of B94 until 2004, when she moved over to KDKA for the first time as the station’s Lifestyle & Entertainment Editor.
In a statement, Michael Young, SVP/Market Manager for CBS Radio Pittsburgh said, “KDKA-AM recently reduced our afternoon news show from two hosts to one. Robert Mangino will continue to host the show while Shelley Duffy has moved on from the station. We wish Shelley all the best. KDKA remains dedicated to providing Pittsburgh afternoon listeners with the best local news, traffic, sports, and weather information.” As far as her immediate plans go, Duffy told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, “I’m enjoying my time with my granddaughter and just kind of sitting back and re-evaluating if I even want to get back into radio.”
