Miami’s Mack Now A Free Agent

• This week iHeartMedia Miami made the big announcement of the reunion of market vets DJ Laz and Kimmy B, who have re-teamed in afternoon drive on WMIA (93.9 MIA, ’90s to Now). What was lost in the smoke of this news was that The DJ Laz Morning Show with Kimmy B displaced longtime company vet Mack.

In a statement, Mack (left) said, “It isn’t without mixed emotions, which I share with you today, that after 23 years iHeartMedia and I have parted ways. I have been privileged and blessed to do what I love both locally and nationally and I’m looking to forward to future opportunities to lead and grow. As a talent this is the process of continuous evolution which is ‘uncomfortably exciting,’ but this is what everyone experiences as they strive to be great at their craft. I’m looking forward to seeing where this takes me!”

Mack famously did afternoon drive across the hall on Top 40 sister WHYI (Y100) until April 2019, when he was recruited, along with fellow company veteran Letty B to create a new wake-up show, Mack in the Morning with Letty B on 93.9 MIA. Late last year Letty returned to Los Angeles, and is now heard on KGGI/RiversideKHTS (Channel 933)/San Diego and KRQQ/Tucson.

Mack, who has also worked at WKSC (103.5 Kiss FM)/Chicago, is now seeking his next opportunity and can be easily accessed at Mackontheradio@me.com or on the cell at 312-927-7779. For more information, please visit his website, mackontheradio.com.
