Dream Gig: Mornings At 91X

XTRA-FM (91X), San Diego’s Local Independent Alternative station has an immediate opening for a morning show host as John Moug exits. 91X PD Garett Michaels is now actively seeking an awesome morning host to join existing co-host Danielle Stuht.

91X is independently owned and operated, with a winning culture. Our team is passionate about serving our community and creating great local radio! We are notlooking for a “jock” or liner reader, but a real personality, who is — or will be — immersed in the music, culture and lifestyle of Southern California.

If you have a passion for Alternative music, live the lifestyle, and can prove it by effectively communicating it on the air, through social media and in public appearances, we want to hear from you. Required experience includes 3-5 years on-air, tight board, strong production skills and familiarity with NexGen, ENCO, WideOrbit or other digital delivery system.

• Bonus points if you love craft beer, tacos/burritos, working hard and playing harder. If this sounds like you, please rush your resume, references and aircheck to localmediasd@gmail.com. Local Media San Diego, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer. No phone calls, please.

• John Moug reached out to RAMP and commented, “Well, my time’s up! Definitely a bummer, but I’m grateful I got to learn from the great talent coach Tracy Johnson on the iconic 91X/San Diego. I wish nothing but the best for Garett, my co-host Danielle and the whole crew. It’s been an incredible opportunity and I can’t wait to see what’s next!”

Moug joined 91X in March of 2018 after spending the majority of his career doing nights and afternoons at Entercom Top 40 KLUC/Las Vegas. “I’m ready to make a move ASAP!” he said. “I have experience in Top 40, Hot AC, Country and now Alternative.” Moug can be easily reached at johnmougradio@gmail.com, and you can access his airchecks, imaging samples and more at johnmoug.com.
