• SummitMedia Urban WJMZ (107.3 JAMZ)/Greenville, SC is in search of a full-time On-Air News & Community Affairs Director to succeed Rhonda Rawlings, who is leaving after almost 11 years to become the South Carolina Communications Director for Sen. Cory Booker’s presidential campaign.

WJMZ is now seeking a positive, independent individual with a passion for community involvement and civic achievement in the Upstate. The ideal candidate must be able to generate excellent content to distribute on-air, online and on social media. You will be expected to have knowledge of news-related topics important to our listeners and must be available for station appearances, as needed. The position entails writing and delivering daily news; hosting a 4-5-hour on-air show each weekday and some weekends and handle all logistics — including scheduling and hosting our weekly issues program.

A minimum of two years of Urban radio experience is required. This is not an entry-level position. Experience with Adobe Audition and basic business software/hardware are required, as is a familiarity with Maestro studio equipment or similar.
