Mid-West Family Broadcasting’s Rockford Media Group in Rockford, IL has filled out its programmer bench and has now turned its attention to filling in its first-line players on the air — the cluster is currently looking for mornings and another player (possibly middays) on Hot AC WGFB (B103). Candidates must be willing to be involved in the community and to be visible in public without being prompted.
Down the hall, Country WRTB (95-3 The Bull) is seeking an afternoon personality/Imaging person, and WNTA-AM (SportsFan Radio 1330) needs a morning personality who is able to organize a show that will indulge in local high school sports, regional college sports, the Chicago Blackhawks or Green Bay Packers, and the trials and travails of LeBron James. This new host will also contribute to our other distribution channels of the brand.
Remember that Rockford has spawned talent like Dallas Cole, who went onto fame at VH-1. Our building also spawned Chicago radio pro Pete McMurray, and countless others have used Rockford to launch successful careers. Rockford is less than 30 minutes from the Chicago suburbs; Madison is less than an hour away, as is Milwaukee. A half-day’s drive will give you access to four NFL teams [Ed. note: it would have been five, until Rams moved to L.A.] Qualified candidates for these EOE positions are directed send their packages to GM Mike Paterson at mpaterson@rmgmwf.com.
