Wanna Wake Up In Chicago?
• Now’s your chance! Cumulus Alternative WKQX (Q101)/Chicago suddenly has a significant vacancy in morning drive as RAMP has learned that Ali Matta, one third of the Q101 Morning Crew with Brian Haddad and Justin Nettlebeck has left the station, electing not to renew her contract.
The Q101 Morning Crew was originally assembled in late 2018: Matta had co-hosted The Half-Assed Morning Show with Nick, Josh & Ali on Cumulus Active Rock KXXR (93X)/Minneapolis; Nettlebeck had produced the syndicated Free Beer & Hot Wings Morning Show at WGRD/Grand Rapids, MI; and Haddad was the artist formerly known as “Sludge” during an earlier stint at Q101 when it was owned by Emmis, as well as stops at the former WRCX (Rock 103.5) and WZZN (The Zone).
All that being said, the multi-tasking Troy Hanson, VP of Programming-Rock Formats, VP of Operations for Cumulus Chicago and PD of Q101 is now actively searching for a new teammate to join the Q101 Morning Crew with Brian & Justin. Killer candidates can read up on the gig’s qualifications and apply online via the Cumulus Jobs portal. EOE. Hanson does have one small request of applicants: “Please be funny.”
