Mid-West Family Mainstream Rock WXRX (104.9 The X)/Rockford, IL has once again put out the call for a morning show co-host to come play radio with existing host Lori Williams. As we originally reported last month, The X had hired Todd “Theo” Theodoro from Community Broadcasters’ Alternative WZLB (103.1 The Blaze)/Destin, FL, but, due to an unforeseen family issue, Theo is unable to accept the gig, so PD Mark Zander has begun the search once again.
The X seeks a passionate and energetic air personality that doesn’t stop working once the show is over. You will need to live and breathe it! You must crave connection with listeners and the community — in person, on-air, and via social channels. You must be reliable and have great references. A willingness to learn and grow is way more important here than a long list of experience! Your head coach will be your collaborator, motivator and biggest fan. You will have a co-host and the tools you need to succeed. This is a solid opportunity with a stellar company for the right person. Rockford is within two hours of Madison, Milwaukee and Chicago. We have everything you need here, including winter!
