Wanna Wake Up With Chaz & AJ?

• Connoisseur Media Connecticut is looking a talented radio pro to join the region’s No. 1 morning show — the Marconi award-winning Chaz and AJ on WPLR (99.1 PLR)/New Haven, CT. We are looking for the next passionate, open, digital savvy, connected talent to be the show’s third mic, traffic reporter and guest booker to succeed six-year show vet Pam Ciaburri, who will be leaving sometime in April.

This new morning show personality must be a creative thinker and have the ability to be topical, relevant, connected, and authentic in their on-air work and connected to the demographics of PLR. This candidate will also be expected to book guests, stay on top of current events, pitch topics/stunts and show arcs as well as build a relationship with the major players in the Connecticut political, entertainment and news world. You will work directly with hosts Chaz and AJ and Producer Phil Antonelli to come up with daily content for a talk-heavy morning show; Effectively book relevant, topical guests — sometimes at a moments’ notice — and stay on top of local news.

A minimum of three years on-air (TV or radio) experience is required, along with the ability to deliver area traffic reports. You must have a demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of social media and be able to effectively interact with the public at major events and an ability to demonstrate a professional appearance and demeanor in and outside of the radio station. You should also be connected to everything happening in the news of the day as it relates to Connecticut and/or the WPLR audience.
