Alicia Keys Back As Grammy Host, Noms 11/20
• The Recording Academy announced that 15-time Grammy winner Alicia Keys will return as host of the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards. Keys, who hosted last year’s 61st Grammy Awards show, made the announcement in a video posted to social media.
“At first I did think last year was a one-time thing but when the opportunity came back around there was no question about returning as host of the Grammy Awards,” Keys said. “Last year was such a powerful experience for me. Not only did I feel the love in the room, but I felt it from around the world and it confirmed the healing and unifying power of music.”
Deborah Dugan, Pres./CEO of The Recording Academy, said, “From Best New Artist recipient to Grammy Award host, Alicia Keys has been a beacon of artistry within the music community for more than two decades. Last year was a testament to her compelling creativity and we are thrilled that she will return to the Grammy stage as our host. Anything can happen… you don’t want to miss it!” The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on CBS at 8pm ET/5pm PT.
• Nominees for the 62nd Grammy Awards® will be released on Wednesday, Nov. 20. Beginning at approximately 8:20am ET, Recording Academy President/CEO Deborah Dugan and Chair of the Board of Trustees Harvey Mason, Jr. will reveal nominees in select categories at Studio 43 at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City. The press conference will be live streamed at Grammy.com and across the Academy’s Facebook and Twitter channels.
As part of the live stream, CBS This Morning will also simulcast additional categories live with CBS This Morning host Gayle King and special guest Alicia Keys.
