Capitol Music Group Names Six New VPs

• Capitol Music Group (CMG), recently named or promoted six executives within its marketing departments to Vice President positions at the company — Jessica Eason is named Vice President of Marketing for Capitol Records; Zoe Gillespie is named Vice President of Brand Partnerships and Strategy at CMG; Kate Haffenden is now Vice President of International Marketing for CMG; Chris Kershaw is named Vice President of Marketing for Capitol Records; Byron Miller is upped to Vice President of Commercial Marketing, Streaming Strategy (Urban) for CMG and Alex Williams is now Vice President of Gaming Strategy & Business Development for CMG.

Eason (left) joined CMG 2018 as Director of Marketing, and 2020 was promoted to Sr. Director of Marketing and segued solely to Capitol Records in 2021. Prior to joining CMG, Eason was Director of Marketing at Saban Brands. Eason is based in Hollywood and reports to Capitol Records SVP of Marketing Ray Alba.

Gillespie (center) began her career at Capitol Records in 2012 as a publicity intern, joining the company full-time as Coordinator in 2014 in Digital Marketing and Publicity. She was promoted to Director of Brand Partnerships in 2018. Gillespie is based in Hollywood and reports to CMG President Arjun Pulijal.

Haffenden (right) joined CMG in October 2021 after a five-year run at Warner Records as Sr. Director of Int’l Marketing. She began her career in the UK in the Mercury DefJam Publicity department, segueing to Atlantic Records there in 2007 as a Tour Publicist before moving to the U.S. with Warner Music Group in 2010. Haffenden reports to CMG SVP of Global Marketing, Kieran Thurgood.

Kershaw (left) joined Capitol in 2018 as Marketing Director, moving from the UK where he was Sr. Marketing Manager with UMG for six years. Kershaw is based in Hollywood and reports to Capitol Records SVP of Marketing, Nathan Sheppard.

Miller (center) joined CMG in 2017 as Manager, Artist Marketing and was named CMG’s “Maverick of the Year” at 2019’s Capitol Congress. Miller is based in Hollywood and reports to CMG EVP of Global Commercial Marketing & Strategy, Mike Sherwood.

Prior to joining CMG earlier this year, Williams (right) was head of North American Gaming and eSports for Coca-Cola. Williams is based in Atlanta and reports to CMG SVP of Digital Strategy & Business Development Nic Osborne.
