CFO Upgrade For Concord’s Prakash

• Concord is pleased to announce that Justin Prakash has been promoted to CFO of Concord Music Publishing and Concord Theatricals. He succeeds Kent Hoskins, who was elevated to CFO of Concord in March of this year.

In his new role, Prakash will be responsible for leading the global Publishing and Theatrical accounting teams, including all aspects of reporting, planning and corporate compliance. He will work closely with the senior executive team, especially Chief Publishing Executive Jim Selby and Chief Theatricals Executive Sean Patrick Flahaven, in assessing new artist signings, shows and opportunities.

Prakash is based in London and reports to Hoskins, who said, “I’ve worked closely with Justin for over 15 years, and his dedication and forensic understanding of our business is second to none. He is a finance executive that marries the rare ability to work collaboratively with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders, while delivering top notch financial reporting and analysis. I very much look forward to continuing our working relationship at Concord.”

Qualifying as a chartered accountant in 2004, Prakash joined classical music publisher Boosey & Hawkes that same year. In 2007, he was promoted to UK Financial Controller and was heavily involved in the sale of the company to the Dutch publisher Imagem. As part of the 2008 post-acquisition restructuring Prakash was promoted to Group Financial Controller and was a key member of the sell-side finance team for the Imagem sale to Concord. Once at Concord, Prakash was named Group Financial Controller, Music Publishing and Theatricals.

“I’m delighted to be taking up the role of CFO, Music Publishing and Theatricals,” Prakash remarked. “The Concord team consists of some remarkable people. It is a pleasure to work alongside them. Thank you to Kent Hoskins for his continued support.”
