Gonna Need Dave’s Password

Gahan Dave 2017Depeche Mode is handing over the care and feeding of its Facebook page to their fans for the next year. You heard right — in a video posted on Depeche Mode’s Facebook page, lead singer Dave Gahan said the band will be recruiting hundreds of curators from their diverse fan base — one curator per day for 365 days, mixed in with some special guests TBA. Any fan interested in becoming the page’s administrator for a day can apply now at takeover.depechemode.com.

Each person lucky enough to be selected will be assigned a specific day to take charge of the page. They can post personal anecdotes, videos, concert photos, covers of the band’s songs, or other Depeche Mode-related content. Through this, the band hopes to uncover old, new, and never-before-told stories and content to be shared with the page’s millions of fans and followers.

This announcement comes on the heels of the release of “Where’s The Revolution,” the band’s first new music in four years and the lead-off single from Depeche Mode’s forthcoming album, Spirit, coming March 17 via Columbia Records.
