Mayer Migrates From Radio To Records

Veteran programmer John Mayer has joined Caroline as a Regional Promotion Director, based in Nashville. Jacqueline Saturn, General Manager of Caroline/Harvest Records, said, “We are excited to grow the Caroline team with someone like John whose passion and belief in our commitment to artist development will take our artists to the next level. We wanted this position to be based in Nashville, the home of some of our most important label partners and artists, as well as the creative community that continues to grow at a rapid pace.”

Mayer will report to SVP of Promotion, Marni Halpern, who said, “I couldn’t be more excited to have John join our Caroline team. I worked with him for years while he was at radio, and I’ve always admired his unprecedented passion for music and wanting to help break new artists. Bringing his knowledge of radio and analytics to our promotion team will make us grow even stronger.”

Mayer spent the past decade with iHeartMedia, most recently as PD of WFLZ/Tampa. His new gig takes him back to Nashville, where he previously programmed WRVW (107.5 The River). He was also APD/afternoon personality at WKCI (KC101)/New Haven. Mayer remarked, “Music is all I ever wanted to do and I couldn’t be happier to further pursue that dream with an unbelievable company with an incredible ever-building roster of artists. I can’t wait to work more closely with Jacqueline, Piero, Marni, and a team that is second-to-none.”
