Soniak Gets To The Point
• Congrats are in order for Natalia Soniak, PD of Entercom Rhythmic WNVZ (Z104)/Norfolk, who has doubled the size of her programming portfolio with the addition of PD stripes for Hot AC sister WPTE (94.9 The Point), effective immediately. Bennett Zier, VP/Market Manager of Entercom Norfolk remarked, “Natalia is one of our great leaders and talents, and we are delighted that she will be taking on the extra responsibilities of the 94.9 The Point.”
Soniak (left) famously worked her way up through the ranks over 11 years at Z104, from intern to PD in July 2014. Commenting on her newly enhanced duties, Soniak said, “Entercom Norfolk is one of Entercom’s great radio clusters and I am delighted to be taking on WPTE and working with such a great team.”
• Soniak succeeds 15-year company vet Barry McKay, whose position was eliminated ahead of the upcoming CBS Radio merger.
McKay’s extensive radio resume includes programming stops with Sandusky Radio Seattle and WMXB (B103.7)/Richmond, and he was APD at KHMX (Mix 96.5)/Houston and WERQ (92Q)/Baltimore in the mid-’90s.
