Pensa Earns RCA SVP Stripes
• Val Pensa has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Pop/Rock Marketing for RCA Records. Ms. Pensa, who was most Vice President, Marketing, will remain in the label’s New York headquarters.
During her tenure as a product manager, Pensa has directed successful campaigns for superstar and emerging talent including Britney Spears, Tinashe, Cam, Grace, Kygo and Snakehips, to name a few. She also led the marketing campaign for Sia’s multi-platinum selling albums, 1,000 Forms of Fear and This is Acting. Most recently, Pensa was instrumental in the launch of Backstreet Boys‘ comeback single, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.” She will also be spearheading campaigns for P!NK, Miley Cyrus, Pentatonix and Zayn.

Pensa began her music industry career as an intern at RCA Music Group and at WKCI (KC101)/New Haven. She later held an assistant position at J Records and became the sole Marketing Director at A&M/Octone Records before making her way back to RCA Records in the digital marketing department. Pensa was named a Billboard 40 Under 40 Power Player in 2016, a Billboard 30 Under 30 Power Player in 2009 and is a three-time Clio Award winner for her marketing campaign for Sia’s “Chandelier.”
