Pros On The Loose
• RAMP has learned that promo pro Megan Youngblood has exited her position as Sr. Director of Top 40 Promotion at Capitol Records and is now available for her next industry adventure. Youngblood (left) received her first big industry break back in 2003 when she was hired by Richard Palmese as Associate Director of West Coast promotion at RCA Records. In 2011 she transitioned over to the Capitol Tower. Ms. Youngblood is now available for meaningful conversations and can be reached at megayoungblood@gmail.com. (Yes, it’s “Mega,” not Megan)
• More pre-holiday shrinkage strikes again, this time in Boise, ID, as Kevin Cruise exits Impact Radio Group as his Ops Manager position is eliminated. “Unfortunately, s#*t happens! I’m so grateful for the opportunity to have built, coached, and worked side-by-side with a terrific Programming team. I am proud of our successes and the goals I have achieved of taking the cluster from last in market to 2nd with Adults 25-54, 25-49, 18-49, and outperforming the market by 18% in rating points.”
Before arriving in Boise in February of 2014 Cruise was APD of iHeartMedia Alternative WRDA (Radio 105.7)/Atlanta, and he famously spent 13 years with Broadway Media Rhythmic KUUU (U92)/Salt Lake City as PD/afternoon guy.
Cruise will be relocating to Salt Lake City at the top of the year where he has extended family, friends, and where he is already having discussions of new, challenging opportunities. He can be reached at 801-231-4794 or kevincruise@icloud.com.
