RDMAs Unite Idols Kelly, Carrie, Maddie
• Grammy® Award-winning global superstar Kelly Clarkson is scheduled to perform a medley of her hits at next week’s 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA), music’s biggest event for families. Clarkson will also receive the RDMA “Icon” Award, which recognizes a distinguished artist whose career transcends popular culture and whose music is beloved by generations of Radio Disney fans. The award will honor Clarkson for her illustrious career and the influence she has had on the music industry.
As was recently announced, Carrie Underwood and Ludacris will perform “The Champion” together for first time live. Underwood, a seven-time Grammy® winner will also be honored with the “Hero” Award at the 2018 RDMA in recognition of her generosity, humanitarian efforts and dedication to supporting a myriad of charities. Clarkson, Underwood and Ludacris join previously announced RDMA performers Meghan Trainor, Charlie Puth, Marshmello, Echosmith and your 2018 American Idol winner, Maddie Poppe.
The 6th annual RDMAs will take place on Friday, June 22 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. A special telecast of the 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards will be presented on Saturday, June 23 at 8pm ET/PT on Disney Channel and stream on multiple Disney-branded platforms, including Radio Disney, the Radio Disney app, the DisneyNOW app and Disney.com/RDMA.
