98 Rock Presents: Abe, Ashley & Marty
• Audacy’s KRXQ (98 Rock)/Sacramento just took the wraps off a new weekday lineup, effective Monday, April 20 — Abe Kanan is moving from afternoons to morning drive as host of… wait for it… Abe Kanan Mornings. Ashley O remains in middays, and joining 98 Rock for afternoon drive is longtime 91X/San Diego veteran Marty Whitney.
“With his strong history in Northern California and A+ talent, Marty is the perfect fit for 98 Rock,” said Andy Hawk, Brand Manager of 98 Rock. “Our listeners are going to love and connect with his infectious, friendly energy and heart for the community. We are amped to have Abe lead our mornings. Combined with Ashley Oin middays, and Marty taking over afternoons, this lineup is designed to dominate the dial and carry forward the legacy of this iconic Sacramento brand.”

Now destiny and luck have brought me to serve my NorCal community as the afternoon voice of the legendary 98 Rock! We’re ready to roll in and ride the lightning.”
Kanan joined 98 Rock in early 2024, after a stint as morning co-host alongside Angi Taylor on iHeartMedia’s WCHI (Rock 95.5)/Chicago. Earlier stops include WKQX (Q101) and the late WLUP (97.9 The Loop)/Chicago, WBGG/Miami, and SiriusXM’s Howard 101 channel.
Here is the new weekday lineup for 98 Rock — 6-10am: Abe Kanan Mornings; 10am-3pm: Ashley O; 3-7pm: Marty In Your Ear Afternoons.
