Alpha Media Canton Welcomes Matt Fantone
• Nice to hear from “Java” Joel Murphy, Content Director/Afternoon Delight on Alpha Media Hot AC WHBC (Mix 94-1)/Canton, OH, who checks in to let us know that he has hired Matt Fantone as his new midday personality and Promotions Coordinator for Mix 94-1 and News-Talk 1480 WHBC-AM, starting April 1.
Thankfully, Fantone already knows his way around town, thanks to his previous run as co-host of The Stansbury Show across the street on iHeartMedia’s WRQK (Rock 106.9).
Commenting on his new gig, Fantone said, “I have long loved these stations and this market and can’t wait to entertain and engage with the communities we serve. Thanks to Java, WHBC Content Director Pam Cook and Alpha Canton GM Larry Gawthrop. I’m excited about what we are going to do in the future!”
Fantone replaces Sarah Quinn, who left in November to join iHeartMedia Greensboro as Marketing Director and midday personality on Top 40 WMKS (HITS 100.3).
