KDMX Paints The Town P!NK!

• For two days late last week iHeartMedia Hot AC KDMX (102.9 NOW)/Dallas teased the hell out of the market by touting “a major makeover” happening Friday at 5pm CT. At the time we theorized that the move could be a) merely cosmetic, b) a full-blown format flip, or c) a dramatic plug for a weekend promotion.

As it turns out, the answer was (c) — the KDMX makeover entailed “painting the station P!NK” — a prelude to giving away tickets to see P!NK in concert at the American Airlines Arena in May. PD Jay Shannon and crew oversaw this ambitious makeover, which involved changing the station website and social media channels to a lovely shade of P!NK to reinforce the power of the promotion. Well done!
