Merilatt Digital Sports Editor @ Denver’s FAN

• Bonneville Denver has acquired the talents of market vet James Merilatt as Digital Sports Editor for KKFN (Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan), effective April 15. In this new role, Merilatt will help develop new initiatives and oversee all sports content on 1043TheFan.com and across The Fan’s multiple digital platforms.

Merilatt spent the past three years with Kroenke Sports and Entertainment, most recently as Director of Business Operations for the Colorado Mammoth lacrosse team. Merilatt notably founded Mile High Sports and spent over 15 years overseeing all aspects of the company’s website, magazine and radio station. He also worked as publications coordinator for the Denver Broncos.

“James is the perfect person to help create a new, expanded vision for 1043TheFan.com as a standalone platform,” said Raj Sharan, PD of 104.3 The Fan. “It’s only natural that Denver’s biggest sports brand would become the region’s primary online source for insight and analysis on the Broncos, Rockies, Nuggets, Avalanche and other Denver sports stories.” Merilatt will also be heard regularly on-air to provide insight and promote all of the awesome content available at 1043TheFan.com.

Commenting on his upcoming adventure, a clearly energized Merilatt tweeted, “I’m excited to announce that I’ll be joining @1043TheFan as their digital sports editor. It’s a dream come true, as I’ll be writing and talking about my hometown teams for a station I’ve listened to for two-plus decades, while working with some of the best in the business.”
