Ocean In Motion, Vizza Too
• After nearly 4½ years as Director of Affiliate Relations with Sheet Happens Prep Service, industry pro Danny Ocean announced his impending exit from that position, effective Friday, March 17. Ocean commented, “It has been rewarding and a great experience which has allowed me to reconnect with my radio roots and establish a wider network of contacts that has given me the opportunity to select from several new exciting opportunities. For the immediate future, I plan to continue my duties hosting as a weekend/swing personality at WBEB (101.1 MORE FM)/Philadelphia, as I have for the past five years.”
Ocean previously spent five years as VP/Director of Operations at The Radio Agency. His 30-year radio career also includes programming and on-air stops at WMC-FM (FM 100)/Memphis, WKCI (KC101)/New Haven, WJMN (Jam’n 94.5)/Boston, the former KZQZ (Z95.7)/San Francisco, Z100/New York and WIOQ (Q102)/Philadelphia. • We are pleased to report that Promotions/Marketing pro Mark Vizza is back in action — he is the new Promotions Director at Delmarva Broadcasting Company Top 40 WSTW, News-Talk WDEL and Inspirational WFAI-AM (Faith 1510)/Wilmington, DE. Vizza most recently spent four years Promotions Director of Adult Hits WBEN (95.7 Ben FM)/Philadelphia and was one of 11 fulltime employees downsized there last November during Beasley’s acquisition of Greater Media. Before that he spent 18 years with Beasley Broadcast Group Philadelphia in a variety of marketing and promotional positions.
