Rock Jock Doc Available Today!
It was almost two years ago when we first brought you the news of the fascinating radio documentary, I Am What I Play. The film is the chronicle of an amazing radio era that was produced and directed by Toronto-based Roger King and profiles four legendary air personalities who represent four major cities: Boston’s legendary Charles Laquidara, New York’s Meg Griffin, Toronto’s David Marsden and Seattle’s Pat O’Day — four remarkable talents who did it their way, broke a lot of rules, and, in the process, created some great radio. As King explained to RAMP, “As you can imagine, those in radio and those who love radio really respond to the movie.” He added, “Although the movie profiles these four particular DJs, it really tells the story of almost everyone who has worked on-air in radio. It takes the viewer through the ups and downs of the medium and what radio was then — and is now. And it features the music of The Ramones, Rush, The Kinks and David Bowie, among others.”
We are pleased to report that I Am What I Play is now available for streaming online for the reasonable price of only $4.99. For anyone who loves radio, has ever been in radio, or who owns a radio… we invite you to watch the trailer and you’ll be as hooked as we were.
