The hardworking citizens of Omaha, NE are now enjoying a welcome radio renaissance, as NRG Media Hot AC KQKQ, after a 13-year hiatus, has revived its iconic “Sweet 98.5“ slogan. The station was famously known as Sweet 98 during its Top 40 era from 1980-2004. More recently it was simply, Q98Five.

Ryan Wild, FM Operations Manager explains the move, telling RAMP, “‘Sweet’ has been a beloved part of the rich radio history in Omaha, and you still can’t go a day without hearing listeners talk about what a great influence Sweet was to them. We plan on continuing to deliver the legendary and exciting promotions that the station was famous for as we continue to play the chart-topping hits along with great variety, and provide an up-tempo environment for our listeners to play in.” Concurrent with the slogan update, Pat & JT In The Morning expands to 5-10am.
