Ohana Broadcast Company Rhythmic AC KUMU/Honolulu has added market vet TeHani Gonzado to the morning show, teaming up with existing host Devon Nekoba. The newly branded Rise & Drive Morning Show with Devon and TeHani debuts today and rolls weekdays from 5-10am, and Saturdays from 10am-2pm.

Gonzado is a well-respected kumu hula in Hawaii, whose hula fame led to a stint on television and a career in Hawaii radio, previously doing mornings on KCCN and KDNN/Honolulu. “TeHani is exactly what we’re looking for in a partner for Devon,” said PD Michael T. “She’s bright, articulate, funny, and quick-witted. Best of all, she and Devon clicked immediately. They’re completely different from one another, but their personal chemistry was perfect and instant. We think Hawaii radio will be in for a real treat.”

Gonzado said, “I’m so excited to jump back into radio. It’s been a while, but I couldn’t pass up this opportunity to work alongside my dear friend Devon Nekoba. I look forward to being a part of the KUMU team and bringing a smile and some aloha to everyone’s morning.” Nekoba remarked, “TeHani and I have been good friends for years, and I’m looking forward to having her energy and unique perspective on the Rise and Drive. It’s gonna be a blast, and I hope you come along for the ride!”
