The Game Is Afoot… On FM

• Somebody at iHeartMedia Jacksonville cleverly figured out a way to plug an FM translator (W247CF) into the back of Sports-Talk WFXJ (930 The Game) and cleverly used it to expand its footprint onto the FM band — say hello to 97.3 The Game, which is also available at WKSL-HD2.

“Jacksonville was in need of a strong FM sports station,” said Geewiz, SVP Programming for iHeartMedia Jacksonville. “We are very fortunate to have the legendary morning show with Mike Bianchiand Harp on Sports with Seth Harpleading the sports world in Jacksonville. The strong FM signal will allow 930 The Game to have an even wider reach.”

Here’s The Game’s weekday line-up — Mike Bianchi (6-9am); The Dan Patrick Show (9am-noon); The Herd with Colin Cowherd (noon-3pm); Harp on Sports With Seth Harp (3-6pm). 97.3 The Game will also feature the Florida Gators, NFL regular and post-season games, “March Madness” and The SEC.
