The Wolf Howls In Knoxville

• SummitMedia Country WCYQ, the station most recently known as Q100.3/Knoxville spent the day Friday moving stuff around and rebranding as 100.3 The Wolf under the steady hand of The Wolf’s interim Program Director, Ramblin’ Tom Oakes.

The Wolf is described as “a fresh, energized Country radio station built around entertainment and New Country music.” The Wolf will be anchored by the Premiere-syndicated Bobby Bones Show weekdays from 6-10am, while the station’s current morning duo Opie and Carina move to afternoon drive. The talented Ms. Dana Lundon continues to track middays from sister WZZK/Birmingham, while “Commander” Tom Oakes will handle the 7-midnight shift.

Chris Protzman, Market President of SummitMedia Knoxville, said, “We are delighted to bring Bobby Bones to mornings on the New 100.3 The Wolf. Having Bobby in the morning and Knoxville favorites Opie and Carina in the afternoon gives Knoxville Country fans everything they have told us they want. We are happy to deliver — welcome to the Wolfpack!”
