Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree
• After several days of stunting as “Christmas 94.5,” iHeartMedia got serious in Panama City, FL and flipped former News-Talk WFLF to ROCK 94.5, The Gulf Coast’s Rock Station.” The format, powered by a mighty 100kw signal, will include a scientific blend of both Classic and current rock music from the ’90s to now, with limited commercial interruption.
“The familiar, more recent rock classics and newer rock hits have been absent from the Florida Panhandle for a few years now,” said John Lund, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Panama City, adding, “We are happy to fill that void with the new ROCK 94.5!”
ROCK 94.5 will feature the syndicated Lex and Terry from 5-9am weekdays, followed by several familiar iHeart personalities: Theresa from 11am-3pm; Chumley in afternoon drive and Klinger rolling from 7-midnight. The new ROCK 94.5 will also be the official radio home for Florida State University Football.
As we recently reported, the station’s former News-Talk format, branded as WFLA, can now be heard locally at 96.3 and 102.5.
