Morton Virtually Returns To Boise

• It’s official — Iliad Media Group Boise, ID formally announces the return of market veteran Rick Morton and his morning show, Hey Morton to Rhythmic KWYD (Wild 101). Morton and his cast — Edina Macic and DJ D-Rock, remain based at Local Media San Diego Top 40 XHTZ (Z90.3)/San Diego.

The Boise expansion marks a true radio homecoming for Morton (center), who spent part of his early career at WiLD 101 hosting the successful Wild Wake Up Show. Boise is also where Morton met his co-host Edina.

“The search for our next morning show took us back to the future with Hey Morton,” said James Garner, Regional OM for Iliad Media Group. “Rick and his team know how to entertain and connect with listeners in a way that few others can. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Rick back to Boise and Wild 101.”

Morton commented, “I’m elated to be back on the air at the station that gave me my first morning show, Wild 101! Sharing our lives each day with the Treasure Valley is an opportunity I longed for and it came true! To return with a first-class team on the air and working with market leaders like CEO Darrell Calton and OM James Garner is like a reunion with family!”

With Morton’s show now installed in mornings, Nathan Fast shifts to middays, and Lauren “Lo” Sessions remains in afternoon drive, originating from Alpha Media’s WE 102.9 (KINK-HD2)/Portland, OR.
