Vegas Is Too Pucking Hot

Nice job by our friend Chet Buchanan, longtime host of Chet Buchanan & The Morning Zoo on CBS Radio Top 40 KLUC/Las Vegas and the city’s unofficial Presenter-In-Chief, who, for the third year in a row was tapped to host the red (this year — magenta) carpet (in honor of sponsor T-Mobile) for last week’s NHL Awards. The event was even more exciting this year, because in addition to finding out which players won the league’s most prestigious awards, local hockey fans were extra pumped to find out the results of the NHL Expansion Draft that produced the roster for the league’s newest NHL franchise — the Las Vegas Golden Knights, who officially join the league this fall and will play at the beautiful T-Mobile Arena.

As Chet (right) related to RAMP, “In addition to a quick chat with all of the nominees, presenters, host Joe Manganello, and NHL legends like Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux and Mark Messier before presenting them to the hundreds of fans who braved 115 degree temperatures, I was able to spend some quality time with all of the NHL hardware, and the ‘Keeper of the Cup’ himself, Phil Pritchard!”
