Women’s Achievement Awards Tomorrow

CBS Radio’s KYW (Newsradio 1060)/Philadelphia announced this year’s five Rising Star Honorees for the Women’s Achievement Awards. Now in its eighth year, KYW’s Women’s Achievement Awards honor women in the Delaware Valley who have made a positive impact in the region through business leadership and community service. This year’s program, honoring women under the age of 40, were all voted on by the community through the use of social media. This year’s honorees include: Kristen de Marco, Founder of Gateway Horses; Kelly Gallagher, Founder of The Superheroes Project; Dr. Monique Gary, a Breast Surgical Oncologist at Grand View Health; Lynette Luckers, Founder of the Marion Luckers Kidney Foundation and Nicole Allen White, Director of Government Affairs for the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

“We are honored to use the influential voice of KYW Newsradio to showcase the dedication and service of these five exceptional rising stars in our community,” said David Yadgaroff, SVP/Market Manager of CBS Radio Philadelphia. “Their efforts embody what KYW’s Women’s Achievement Awards stand for, and the very reason they were launched eight years ago.”

KYW Newsradio will also recognize the five semi-finalists for this year’s program: LaQuisha Anthony, Founder of Victory Over Inconceivable Cowardly Experiences (V.O.I.C.E.); Keziah Finney, Creator of JFINTV Lyrical Math; Lehla Olson, literacy specialist and ZUMBA® instructor; Tiffany Tavarez, Corporate Relations for PECO; and Paige Wolf, Founder of Paige Wolf Media and Public Relations. Marilyn Russell, host of 98.1 WOGL’s Remarkable Women series will emcee this year’s honoree reception tomorrow at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel from 6-8pm. The Keynote Speaker will be Colleen Rooney, Vice President of Global Communications for QVC.
