Canada To The Rescue!

From the same enterprising Canadian Sports/Talk radio station that recently gave away a funeral as an awesome grand prize, CJMB (Extra 90.5)/Peterborough, Ontario is again making some “Extra” noise (get it?) with its latest attention-grabbing promotion — opening its nation’s arms and hearts to a potential flood of post-Trump-election refugee American celebrities. “We’re offering any celebrity wanting to leave the USA a first-class one-way flight to Canada,” said Rob Mise, GM of Extra 90.5. Further sweetening the pot, as it were, Mise added, “We will also provide free lodging in Peterborough, Ontario and free tickets to see the Peterborough Petes.”

Please note that this generous offer is open to any level of unhappy U.S. celebrity — A-lister, B-lister, even low-level C-list reality stars, regardless, of age, race or sexual orientation can apply to be sponsored by Extra 90.5. Jordan Mercier, host of The Regulars morning show remarked, “We know it’s not easy being famous, living in a free country, and not liking the President-elect. Our hearts go out to them. We’re happy to open our homes and wallets to help these inconvenienced stars.” Co-host Colin Teskey added, “Just not Lena Dunham.”
