Adams Radio Makes Changes
Adams Radio Group performed more personnel changes in its Salisbury-Ocean City, MD cluster — Adams Radio Pres./CEO Ron Stone announced that (l-r): Larry “Big Red” Stephens, PD of WKHI (Your Country K107.7) will assume the role of Operations Manager for the cluster; Stacy “Carolina” Gantt is upped to PD of Active Rock WZBH (93.5 The Beach), Laura Lee is promoted to PD of Classic Rock WGBG (Big 98.5) and Rob (Jay) Johnson, midday personality on WOCQ is upped to PD of his station. “All three have been an integral part of the programming team and have helped guide the stations to tremendous success in the market,” said Stone.
Most notable about these changes is the departure of industry vet Albie Dee, who exits as Operations Manager of the cluster and PD of Rhythmic WOCQ (OC104) and Oldies KOOL 104.3/105/1. And, as we reported yesterday, Johnny Maze exited as PD of Active Rock WZBH (93.5 The Beach) and Classic Rock WGBG (Big 98.5).
Albie joined the company in April 2015 is extremely well known and loved in the region, thanks to his many years of service in DC on WPGC, WIHT (Hot 99.5), WARW (94.7 The Arrow), WIAD (94.7 Fresh FM), WTGB (94.7 The Globe) and nationally on XM.
