Alpha Elevates Fox & Palacios

• Alpha Media Bakersfield has made two programming department adjustments, starting with Erik Fox, PD of Top 40 KLLY (Energy 95.3), who unplugs from his midday air shift to assume the role of Operations Manager for the cluster.

At the same time, current OM Danny Palacios is elevated to Director of Programming while remaining PD/morning host of Rhythmic Oldies sister KKBB (The Groove 99.3). Cluster Promotions Director Adlai “D-Lay” Wilson has replaced Fox in middays and will retain his afternoon drive shift on KKBB.

Fox (left) is a 27-year industry vet who was hired by previous owner Buckley Broadcasting back in 2000, and was originally on-air at KLLY (then Kelly 95.3) from 2000-2015 and served as APD/MD from 2001-2011. He later spent five years doing middays on Rhythmic Oldies sister KKBB (The Groove 99.3) before he was named PD of KLLY in May 2020.

Palacios (right) landed his inaugural PD post at KKBB in July 2013 under former owner Buckley Radio and was upped to OM in 2019. He previously spent four years in San Luis Obispo, CA working for Mapleton Rhythmic KWWV (WiLD 106) and Classic Hits KXTZ (95.3 The Beach). Earlier in his career Palacios was Production Director for the Wilks cluster in Fresno — and we worked with him back in the day at the late KYNO-FM (Hot 96)/Fresno.
