Another Round Of Downsizing At iHeartMedia

• UPDATED 10/11: RAMP has confirmed that iHeartMedia is undergoing another round of layoffs. No word yet on how extensive these cuts might be, but here the names we have heard so far:

Dallas-Ft. Worth: DFW radio icon Bo Roberts has exited as morning host at Classic Rock KZPS (Lonestar 92.5). Roberts was one half of the long-running Bo & Jim Show alongside “Long” Jim White in mornings on CBS Radio’s KTXQ (Q102) from 1982 until the station was sold and signed off in 1998. The following year they joined KZPS to do afternoons. After a three-year hiatus, the guys returned in 2004, this time as morning hosts. Their 40-year partnership ended in July 2022 with White’s retirement.

 • San Diego: As first reported by RAMP yesterday, Taylor Jukes has been released from her position as SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia San Diego. Jukes earned the transfer to San Diego in early 2024 from Miami, where she programmed WHYI (Y100) and served on iHeart’s CHR Brand Team. Prior to moving to the States and joining Y100 in April 2019, Jukes was Sr. Manager of National Content for iHeartRadio Canada, overseeing content across 109 Bell Media radio stations and PD of CKFM (99.9 Virgin Radio)/Toronto. Jukes previously held programming and on-air roles at Alternative CHHR (Shore 104)/Vancouver, BC, Virgin Radio Vancouver, Top 40 CHBN Edmonton, AB and others.

• San Francisco: Corey Foley is out as morning co-host on Hot AC KIOI (Star 101.3) after three years. She previously co-hosted mornings on Alpha Media Triple A KINK/Portland. Foley’s previous major market morning show experience includes stints with The Dave Ryan Show on KDWB/Minneapolis; as half of Foley & Thunder with Greg Thunder on KILT-FM/Houston; The Morning Freak Show on WLLD (WiLD 94.1)/Tampa Bay, as well as previous Bay Area experience as one third of the Ken, Corey & Eddie show on the former KBWF (95.7 The Wolf)/San Francisco. > Hudson Hott exits her dual role as 7-midnight personality on Hot AC KIOI (Star 101.3)/San Francisco and weekend/fill-in talent on KYSR (ALT 98.7)/Los Angeles, where she formerly did middays. Hott started her radio career in Honolulu, doing overnights at 98 Rock, and later transitioned over to Alt sister KUCD (Star 101.9), where she spent the next 20 years as morning co-host alongside Scotty B. • Los Angeles: Clay Roe, a 26-year veteran of News-Talk KFI-AM640/Los Angeles is now a free agent. Roe served as the station’s Imaging Director for the past six years, and as Roe adds, “Writing for the legendary John Frost to create the world’s most unique talk radio imaging.” Roe also did imaging production and copywriting for iHeart’s national News-Talk group, and for Premiere’s News-Talk Ammo Imaging service.

Looking ahead, Roe is hoping to land remote or hybrid work and is willing to move for the right fit. Fingers crossed for something in the Pacific Northwest. > Elsewhere at KFI, Mo’Kelly exits as evening personality, along with his producer, Tawala Sharp. Kelly had been with KFI since 2011, starting as a producer, and working his way up to weekends and fill-in before he was awarded the 7-10pm timeslot as host of Later, with Mo’Kelly in January 2023. He also produced a daily commentary, Mo’Kelly’s 2-Minute Warning, which was syndicated nationally.

Kelly’s producer, Tawala Sharp posted the news, stating, “And, with extreme pride in everything we did, comes the announcement that our program, ‘Later, with Mo’Kelly’ has come to an end on KFI. I truly appreciate every hour, minute & second spent creating greatness with @mrmokelly. Trust and believe, this was simply a business decision for iHeartMedia Inc. & iHeartRadio. Nothing personal.”

> Across the hall on Urban KRRL (Real 92.3), overnight talent Chuck Dizzle exits after a decade of service. He was also heard on many of iHeart’s Hip Hop stations nationwide. Dizzle posted a thank-you video to Instagram.

Philadelphia: Looks like the Rise & Grind Morning Show has ended at Urban WUSL (Power 99)/Philadelphia, as co-hosts MuthaKnows and Mikey Dredd exit. MuthaKnows shared his thoughts via Instagram post. We understand the show’s third host, Roxy Romeo, will remain aboard in another daypart TBA.

• Across the hall on Fox Sports affiliate 1480 WDAS (The Gambler), Sean Brace has departed his dual role as Program Director and afternoon talent. Brace posted his news to Facebook, commenting, “Started Fox Sports The Gambler in 2019 & built up an incredible team, partnerships & friendships over the years. (Damn, even made it through a pandemic). With that, my time with iHeart has come to an end. Industry can be tough at times. We move forward no matter what. I want to thank all the listeners, viewers & most importantly, my guys who worked with me over the years. Thank you.”

Nashville: Kaitlyn Askew exits as Digital Director for iHeart’s Nashville group after a decade of service. Askew shared her news in an Instagram post that reads, in part, “After almost 10 years with iHeartRadio, that chapter of my life has come to a close. I have learned and changed so much over the last decade, but the thing I’m the most thankful for are the people I’ve met along the way. Especially those that have loved on my little family. Excited for what’s to come!!”

> Mani Millss exits as MD and midday talent at WUBT (101.1 The Beat) after seven years. She was also doing weekends at WRDG (96.1 The Beat)/Atlanta. Millss earlier worked for sister WXBT (100.1 The Beat)/Columbia, SC and counts Milwaukee and Savannah as earlier stops. Millss’ Instagram message reads, in part, “Nashville, thank you for growing with me over the past 7 years. We got through a pandemic together, we got engaged and married together, we even had 3 babies together. Nashville has truly been the highlight of my career.”

Houston: Former NFL quarterback Sean Salisbury is out as morning host on KMBE (SportsTalk 790). In a social post, Salisbury said, in part, “It’s been a hell of a run the last 8 years @SportsTalk790. I fully understand the financial decisions that corporate has to make. I appreciate the great bosses at iHeart that I got to work with and here in Houston, who have become friends too.”

• Baltimore: Jeff St. Pierre is out as APD/afternoon talent at WPOC (Country 93.1). St. Pierre joined WPOC as morning show producer in 2008 after a stint with Greater Media Philadelphia. He was named MD in June 2015 and moved from morning co-host to pm drive last year. St. Pierre shared his news in a short video posted to Instagram.

Seattle: Sarah, a morning show fixture at KZOK for 14 years, has been released. Sarah and Danny Bonaduce arrived in Seattle in 2011 from WYSP/Philly. After Bonaduce’s 2023 retirement she was joined by BJ Shea, and had been doing the show solo since October 2024. Prior to that, she spent 12 years at the late WXRK/New York (as “Danni”), and had previous stops at KFMA/Tucson, WMRQ/Hartford, WFNX/Boston and SiriusXM. St. Louis: Classic Hits KLOU parts ways with two drivetime personalities — Afternoon talent “Big Mike” Chambers, a 25-year company veteran, and Judi Diamond, co-host of Billy and Judi in the Morning. Billy Greenwood is now rolling solo in mornings.

• Tampa Bay: Country WFUS (US 103.5) has parted ways with APD/midday talent Sarah Jacobs. Jacobs joined WFUS as midday personality in 2017 and was named MD in June 2019. She earlier spent seven years at WCTQ/Sarasota. She can be contacted at OnAirSarah@gmail.com.

• Cleveland: Jeremiah Widmer exits afternoon drive on Top 40 WAKS (96.5 Kiss FM). Born and raised in Rittman, OH, Widmer joined WAKS in May 2022, coming off a five-year run in mornings across the street at Audacy Hot AC WQAL. He earlier did afternoons on AC sister WDOK (Star 102.1), and his Northeast Ohio radio history started in 2012 as morning co-host on WDJQ (Q92)/Akron. He posted details to Facebook.

• CincinnatiTiffany “Tiff” Potter is out as APD and morning personality on Top 40 WKFS (Kiss 107.1). Prior to joining WFKS in May 2019, Potter spent six years in various roles at sister WXKS (Kiss 108)/Boston, including Music Coordinator, evening co-host, and traffic reporter.

> Cincinnati.com reports that Tony Pike has exited his multiple roles as talk host on WCKY (ESPN 1530), his contributions to Mo Egger‘s show and involvement in Bengals’ pre-game activities on 700WLW. Pike’s social announcement reads, in part: “It’s not something I ever hoped to say, but my current time with iHeart has come to an end. I’m deeply thankful for the opportunity they gave me and for all the experiences that came with it.”

Awkward timing for the former University of Cincinnati Bearcats quarterback and Reading High standout — he will be inducted into the James P. Kelly UC Athletic Hall of Fame on Oct. 24, and Pike says he will continue to call UC football games as an independent contractor.

• Salt Lake City: Joyce Wirthlin exits as Market President after nearly three decades of service. Wirthlin has spent her entire media career in the Salt Lake City market, starting as Sr. AE with Citadel in 1993. She joined the former Clear Channel SLC as VP of Sales in 1998, was promoted to SVP of Sales in 2021 and named Market President in January of this year.

Down the hall, Hooker is out as co-host of the Hooker & DB morning show on Mainstream Rock KAAZ (Rock 106.7).

Greensboro: JT Bosch exits as PD of Country WTQR, Classic Rock WVBZ, & News-Talk WPTI, and PM drive on WTQR and WNCB after exactly six years. Bosch, who originally joined the company in 2001, earlier served as APD/MD/afternoons for Country WKKT (96.9 The Kat)/Charlotte and APD/MD at WMZQ/Washington. Earlier in his career Bosch was VP of Programming for iHeartMedia Austin and Regional Program Manager for iHeart Harrisburg, PA. He began his career at WUPE/Pittsfield, MA. Manchester, NH: Trudy Sutherland, Sr. Marketing Specialist exits after 14 years. She represented all 860 iHeart stations during her tenure. She was initially based at WHEB/Portsmouth, and later transferred to Manchester, home of WGIR-FM. Sutherland earlier spent 16+ years with the New Hampshire Business Review.
