Arriens Darrin 2017Entercom Charlotte has appointed veteran programmer Darrin Arriens as Director of Operations for the five-station group — News-Talk WBT-AM/FM, Hot AC WLNK (107.9 The Link) and Sports-Talk WFNZ-AM (The Fan 610/102.5). This newly created position is part of Entercom Charlotte’s ongoing leadership and organizational restructuring since its acquisition in early January. Arriens (left) will oversee all components of the cluster’s day-to-day programming and manage the syndication efforts for the Bob and Sheri Network.

Arriens arrives in Charlotte from Fresno, CA, where he has programmed Cumulus Country KSKS (93.7 Kiss Country) since October 2014. Before that he programmed Vero Beach Broadcasters AC WGYL (93.7 The Breeze)/Vero Beach, FL, and he notably served as OM of the Citadel/Cumulus cluster in Grand Rapids, MI and Midwest Regional Director of Operations for Citadel, overseeing 55 stations in the Midwest. Arriens’ earlier programming stops include KKFM & KKMG/Colorado Springs, WRIF/Detroit, WLZR/Milwaukee, KHYT/Tucson, WKLQ & WHTS/Grand Rapids, WIOT/Toledo, WBYR & WFWI/Ft. Wayne, IN and WXQR/Greenville, NC.
