Crowley Heads West… Rochester Beckons

• Stand by for the formal announcement, but RAMP has learned that Chris Crowley is making final preparations to move on from his current PD post at Entercom Classic Rock WCMF/Rochester, NY — he’s earned a nice transfer to the majestic Pacific Northwest as the new PD of Classic Rock sister KGON/Portland, OR, effective at the end of March. Crowley has been in place since April of 2010, when he migrated north from the PD spot at Meridian Classic Rock WARO/Ft. Myers, FL.

• Crowley’s impending move leaves Entercom seeking its next great programmer for No. 1 rated WCMF. Candidates must be highly competitive strategic thinkers with experience programming Classic Rock radio — and have the bandwidth to understand the formatic spectrum around this format. You must be creative, resourceful and possess the skill to manage, support and motivate a talented staff. Knowledge and understanding of NFL football and NHL hockey is a plus!
