Audacy Realigns Hip-Hop, R&B Leadership

• Collaboratively led by Skip Dillard as Adult R&B & Throwback Format Vice President and Mike Street as Mainstream Hip-Hop and R&B Format Vice President, this new vertical is aimed to leverage the collective scale of these 21 local brands to best serve listeners and partners across the country. Dillard (left) will continue as Brand Manager of WXBK (94.7 The Block)/New York and Street (right) as Brand Manager of WBTJ (106.5 The Beat)/Richmond.

The company also announced that Reggie Rouse has signed a multiyear extension to continue to serve as Brand Manager of WVEE (V-103)/Atlanta. Rouse will step down as Urban Format Vice President to focus on one of the country’s preeminent Hip-Hop and R&B brands.

“There are few leaders more dedicated to the craft of radio and more giving than Reggie, and I’d like to extend a major thanks to him for all the work he’s done with our Urban brands over the years,” said Dave Richards, Audacy SVP of Programming. “We’re excited to unite our collection of Rhythmic AC, Throwback, Urban and Urban AC brands under one vertical under the leadership of Skip and Mike. Together, they’ll collaborate to share a strategic programming vision that will best serve our listeners and partners.”

Skip Dillard joined Audacy in 2021 after 12 years as VP of Programming and Operations Manager for WBLSand WLIB/New York. He later served as VP of National and Community Partnerships for MediaCo’s WBLS and WQHT (HOT 97). Dillard’s career began as a student at Hampton University’s WHOV-FM, and volunteer at North Carolina A&T State University’s WNAA-FM. Last year Dillard was named VP of Audacy’s Rhythmic AC and Throwback formats.

Mike Street caught the radio bug at the University of Richmond’s WDCE before joining WCDX/Richmond as the station’s mixer, and eventually MD and afternoon host. In 2001, Street helped launch WBTJ as APD/MD and afternoon talent. After his promotion to PD, Street simultaneously programmed WOWI (103 JAMZ) and WHBT (92.1 The Beat)/Norfolk. In 2019, Street received the prestigious Marconi Award for Medium Market Personality of the Year. Street currently serves as Brand Manager and afternoon personality at 106.5 The Beat/Richmond, Brand Manager of Hot 105.7 (WXSS-HD2)/Milwaukee, and has programming responsibilities for BIG 98.5 (WRXL-HD2)/Richmond.
