Chris Pickett: Free Agent
• Yesterday we learned of restructuring at iHeartMedia Las Vegas that resulted in the departure of Chris Pickett, PD of AC KSNE (Sunny 106.5) and Rhythmic Real 103.9 (KYMT-HD2). He also co-hosted mornings on KSNE as “Marco.”
Pickett had been in Vegas since May 2012, when he was upped from OM of Clear Channel Tucson to Regional Programming Manager and OM of the company’s Las Vegas market. Pickett previously served as OM of Clear Channel’s Colorado Springs group. Pickett arrived in Colorado Springs in mid-2005 as PD of KVUU (My 99.9) and KKLI (K-Lite 106.3), coming in from Leighton Top 40 KCLD/St. Cloud, MN.
As we originally reported 12 years ago, Pickett left Colorado Springs briefly in July 2007 to program WNOU/Indianapolis, but was fortunate enough to be able to return to his still-vacant former job three months later when then-owner Emmis flipped WNOU to News/Talk WIBC-FM.
Looking back on his most recent experience, Pickett said, “I have nothing but love and respect for everyone I’ve worked with at iHeartMedia over the past seven years. I will be forever grateful for the experiences I’ve shared with some of the brightest colleagues I’ve ever known. I will never take those years for granted. I’ve never given less than 100% of my efforts and my results speak for themselves.
