Daniels Named OM, Audacy Cleveland

• Audacy keeps it in the family and taps Chase Daniels as Operations Manager of its Cleveland market, succeeding Dave Popovich, who recently announced his retirement.

Daniels earns the transfer and market boost from the OM post for Audacy Madison, WI.  Upon his arrival in Cleveland, Daniels will oversee content strategy, talent, operations and branding for WDOK (Star 102), 98.5 WNCX, WQAL (Q104), WKRK (92.3 The Fan) and CHANNEL Q (WQAL-HD3).

“Having Chase join us from our stations in Madison is a testament to the depth of talent at Audacy and the work he’s done there,” said Tom Herschel, SVP/Market Manager, Audacy Cleveland. “We couldn’t be more pleased to welcome Chase to Cleveland.”

“When the opportunity to lead the heritage brands Dave Popovich built into 2023 and beyond opened up, it was something that quickly became a no-brainer,” said Daniels. “I can’t wait to get started working with the amazing team in Cleveland. I want to thank Dave Richards, Tom Herschel, Steve Salhany and Jeff Sottolano for going out of their way to make this a seamless transition for me and my family. I also want to thank Andrea Hansen and the entire Madison team for their support and encouragement.”

Daniels joined Audacy in 2013 as PD of then-sister WNTR/Indianapolis before being promoted to Operations Manager of Audacy Madison group: Classic Hits 94.9 WOLX, Triple A WMMM (105.5 Triple M) and Hot AC WMHX (Mix 105.1). Daniels’ previous programming roles include now-Audacy-owned WSTR (Star 94)/Atlanta and CMG Top 40 WAPE/Jacksonville.

Audacy will begin a nationwide search for Operations Manager of its Madison market. For more information, please visit the Audacy Careers portal (ID 2023-5074).
