Davis Joins SMG As CCM Brand Manager
• Veteran programmer Kevin “Crash” Davis has joined Stephens Media Group as Brand Manager of the company’s Contemporary Christian Music stations, starting April 17. Davis will oversee imaging, social media and branding for SMG’s three full-power Christian AC stations — KEZP/Alexandria, LA, KTMT/Medford, OR and KXOJ/Tulsa, OK, as well as Christian Hot AC KALE/Tri-Cities, WA and Christian CHR NOW 94.5 (KTSO-HD2)/Tulsa. Davis will be based in Tulsa and host a daily show on KXOJ.
Davis most recently served as GM of Starnes Media Group News-Talk KWAM-AM/Memphis. Before that he was afternoon talent & Production Director at Radio Training Network Christian AC WAFJ/Augusta, GA, preceded by five years as OM/PD/morning host on Country WEBL and Classic Hits Guess FM/Memphis. Davis notably enjoyed a nine-year stint as PD of Classic Rock WNDD (Wind FM)/Ocala-Gainesville, FL from 2002 to 2011. In the ’90’s and early ’00s Davis worked in Ft. Wayne & Evansville, IN, Wichita, KS & Cheyenne, WY.
