Eagle Adds Anthony; Wakes Up With Case

• Audacy Classic Rock KSEG (96.9 The Eagle)/Sacramento announced a new weekday on-air lineup, which includes the addition of our pal and former R&R colleague Ken Anthony (left) as Asst. Brand Manager and afternoon personality, weekdays from 3-7pm PT.

It was concurrently announced that Justin Case (right) has transitioned from afternoons to mornings, succeeding recently retired market legend Pat Martin.

“We’re delighted to unveil a dynamic new chapter for 96.9 The Eagle in Sacramento as we move Justin Case to kick off our mornings and introduce the seasoned talent of Ken Anthony in our afternoons,” said Stacey Kauffman, RVP, Audacy Sacramento. “We’re confident this new lineup will offer our listeners fresh and engaging content that resonates throughout the day and position this heritage brand for greater success in the future.” Jolene remains in middays, with Remy Maxwell from 7-11pm.

Anthony’s impressive Rock programming resume includes such iconic calls as KSJO/San Jose, KLOL/Houston, KLOS and KLSX/Los Angeles and KPNT (The Point)/St. Louis. Anthony, who founded his consultancy, Radio Think Tank in 1996, was named Rock Editor of the late, great Radio & Records in 2004 and served in the same capacity with All Access from 2012-2023. His dulcet tones have also graced the airwaves of KLOS from 2015-19, and Cumulus Rocker KSAN (107.7 The Bone)/San Francisco from 2016 to just recently.

“I’m thrilled to join KSEG and Audacy in Sacramento,” said Anthony. “96.9 The Eagle has consistently been one of the highest-rated Rock stations in the country, and to be able to carry on the station’s legacy in afternoon drive is an honor and privilege I don’t take lightly. As a Northern California native, raised on some of the greatest Rock radio stations in the country, I can’t think of a more perfect opportunity to return to my roots in radio and Nor-Cal! I also want to thank Stacey Kauffman, [OM] Aaron Roberts, Vince Richards and Dave Richards for their confidence and support. I’m joining a tremendous team and am ready to rock Sacramento!” [Devil horns implied]. Your best wishes can be transmitted directly to Ken’s new in-box at ken.anthony@audacy.com.
